WHEREAS, it has, come to the attention of the Board .of County Com-
missioners of Monroe County, Florida, that the Southern Keys. Transit,
Inc. has charter facilities to operate between Key West, Florida and Miami,
Florida, which can accommodate the carrying of athletic teams, church arid
civic organizations to and from Miami, Florida, at great savings to such,
teams and organizations., and
WHEREAS, it behooves said Commission to urge the granting of a
permit, by the Florida Railroad. and Public Utilities Commission to permit
such charters, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board strongly urges and
recommends. that the Florida Railroad. and Public Utilities Commission
grant the necessary permit. to the Southern Keys Transit, Inc. , tocperate
charter buses. for the purp.o.s.e of carrying athletic teams, church and civic
organizations to. And from Miami, Florida.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board. be, and he is hereby authorized to forward a. copy of this. Resolution
to. the Florida Railroad and Public Utilities Commission, Tallahassee, Florida.
