WHEREAS, when the 1966-67 Board of County Commissioners
budgets were prepared for adoption in July, 1966, the Clerk to
the Board of County Commissioners was informed by the architect
supervising the Construction of a Jail and Sub -Courthouses,
that the construction and equipping of the building would be so
advanced that only $200,000 would be left in the Building
Certificates 1965 Issue -Monroe County, Fla., Construction Trust
Fund to be paid out, and
WHEREAS two hurricanes and other unforeseen events have
delayed construction of the said building and requisitions for
payments for completed work were not up to schedule; thereby
resulting in more money being carried over into the above stated
fund at the start of the present fiscal year than anticipated and
WHEREAS there are still balances due on contracts for
constructing and furnishing said building; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of County Commissioners adopt
a supplement budget as follows:
