Resolution 281-1993 Mayor London RESOLUTION NO. 281 -1993 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, DECLARING MONROE COUNTY'S OPEN AND ACCEPTING USE OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE. WHEREAS, Monroe County has a substantial segment of its population which is bilingual or speaks Spanish only; and WHEREAS, in recent months, neighboring communities have had some controversy over the use of Spanish in official transactions; and WHEREAS, Monroe County encourages all of its officers to facilitate Spanish speakers in their interactions with governmental entities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1.
