Resolution 054-1967{ RESOLUTION NO. 54 -1967 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida desires to renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the hereinafter described street, alley -way, road or highway as delineated on the hereinafter described map or plat, and WHEREAS, under Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, it is necessary to hold a public hearing after publishing due notice of said hearing in accor- dance with said Chapter, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 28, 1967, said Board will hold a public hearing to determine whether or not said Board will renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the following described street, alley -way, road or highway: Iva Street, located in Davis Addition to Marathon, being a part of Gov't. Lot 2 of Section 9, Twp. 66 S. , R. 32 E. , as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 71 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby ordered to publish notice of said meeting in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 336, Florida Statutes. PETITION TO: The Honorable Board of County Commissioners Monroe County, Florida The undersigned is the sole owner of all the Davis Addition, a Subdivision according to the Plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 71 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida; that as part of said plat there is dedicated to the use of the public thereon Iva Stret; that the undersigned owns all property abutting Iva Street and requests abandonment of said street for the following reasons: 1. Petitioner is in the process of rebuilding the former Davis Motel and Docks. In order to maintain a private complex in the acreage involved and also for the purpose of having the property as one integral part it is necessary that the public roadway be abandoned and abolished. 2. That under the liquor licensing law, use of the license cannot be made available on all of the property of the undersigned with the existing road bisecting the property.
