Resolution 032-1968RESOLUTION NO. 32 -1968 WHEREAS, pursuant to notice of sale heretofore duly published in the manner provided by law for the sale of $2, 600, 000 Monroe County Bridge Revenue Bonds, dated September 1, 1967, the following sealed proposals have been received: The proposal of William R. Hough & Co. and Dooly, Gerrish & Co., Inc., Miami, Florida, in the form of an option for 30 days to purchase said bonds at a net interest cost of 5. 96%, with the bond discount to be named subsequently; The proposal of Goodbody & Co. & Associates, Miami, Flori- da, offering to pay the principal amount of $2, 523, 430 for said bonds plus accrued interest from March 1, 1968 for all the bonds, at the rate of 5. 75% per annum; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That the proposal of Goodbody & Co. & Associates, Miami, Florida, for said bonds, be, and the same is hereby accepted, and the bonds be, and the same are hereby awarded and sold to the said Goodbody & Co. & Associates, Miami, Florida, at the price and in accordance with the pro- posal of said purchaser: $2, 600, 000 Monroe County Bridge Revenue Bonds, dated September 1, 1967, in the denomination of $5, 000 each, bearing interest at the rate of 5. 75% per annum. Section 2. That the proper officers of said Board be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said bonds when prepared and to deliver the same to the said purchaser in accordance with the proposal of said purchaser referred to above, and upon payment of the purchase price therefor, without further authority from said Board. Section 3. That the Mayor of Monroe County and Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners be, and he is hereby authorized and direc- ted to return the good faith checks of all unsuccessful bidders. Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately. Dated April 30th, 1968.
