Resolution 101-1968RESOLUTION NO. 101-1968 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida recognizes the needs and advantages of recreation areas to the youth of Monroe County and to the County itself, and WHEREAS, the Junior Womens Club of Key West, Monroe County, Florida, has offered at their own cost and expense to construct and operate such a public recreation facility, and WHEREAS, the Junior Womens Club has requested a portion of properties belonging to Monroe County to install said facility, now, there- fore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board hereby grants to the Junior Womens Club of Key West permission to use a portion of County property located within the confines of Clarence S . Higgs Memorial Beach in the City of Key West, Florida, to construct, maintain and operate a public recreation facility, under such rules and regulations as the Monroe County Commission shall from time to time promulgate, the size of the par- cel and the duration of its permissive use to be at the pleasure of the Com- mission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that by going into possession of said property the Junior Womens Club of Key West covenants and agrees to save harmless Monroe County from any claim for liability by members of the public or Club members for damage or injury occasioned by the Junior Womens Club of Key West's use of said property, said Junior Womens Club to obtain, pay the premium for, and exhibit a policy of liability insurance sufficient to accomplish its save harmless agreement, in an amount of indemnity as shall be specified by the Monroe County Commission.
