RESOLUTION NO.
6 - 1969
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Monroe County, Florida, at a public
hearing on November 22, 1968, duly called and held in accordance with the
zoning regulations of Monroe County, Florida and the laws of the State of
Florida, considered the request of Charles W. Pierce for a change of zoning
on Part of Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 10, Township 66 South, Range
32 East and adjacent bay bottom land, Marathon, Monroe County, Florida,
from classification RU-3 to BU-2, as defined in the Monroe County Zoning
Regulations, and
WHEREAS, after taking testimony and hearing all persons desiring to
be heard, said Board granted a change of zoning from classification RU-3
to B U - 1, and
WHEREAS, W. Curry Harris, of the firm of Harris & Albury, repre-
senting the estate of James L. Ribble and Evelyn L. Ribble, and Mathew
Kaczkow ski filed an appeal with the Board of County Commis sioner s of Monroe
County, Florida, in accordance with the laws applicable thereto, asking said
Board to reverse the decision of the Zoning Board, and
WHEREAS, on January 14, 1969, the Board of County Commissioners
heard such appeal, and after reviewing the record and proceedings and action
taken at said public hearing on November 22, 1968, and hearing all persons
desiring to be heard, voted to uphold the decision of said Zoning Board, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to pass a Resolution upholding the decision
of said Zoning Board, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the decision of the Zoning Board, made
at its public hearing held November 22, 1968, granting a change of zoning
from classification RU-3 to BU-l on Part of Government Lot 2, Section 6,
Township 66 South, Range 33 East, Mara1hon, Monroe County, Florida (and
adjacent bay bottom land), be, and the same is hereby upheld, and the appeal
filed by W. Curry Harris, of the firm of Harris & Albury, representing the
estate of James L. Ribble and Evelyn L. Ribble, and Mathew Kaczkowski,
requesting the Board of County Commissioners to reverse the decision of
said Zoning Board, be, and the same is hereby denied.
