Resolution 017-1969l RESOLUTION NO. 1-7 -1969 WHEREAS, James S. Holland, Jr. and Helen K. Holland, d/b/a Helen Holland Enterprises, desire to sponsor an air show at the Marathon Airport, Marathon, Florida, said air show to be titled "First Annual Flori- da Keys Air Show at Marathon", and WHEREAS, the Marathon Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Corps is to be the major beneficiary of the funds collected from the general public for attendance at said air show, and WHEREAS, the said Helen Holland Enterprises has represented that it has successfully sponsored such air shows in the past, and has agreed to provide certain safeguards to the Monroe County Commission prior to the staging of said air show, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that James S. Holland, Jr. and Helen K. Holland, d/b/a Helen Holland Enterprises, shall be authorized to use the facilities at the Marathon Airport, Marathon, Florida to stage an air show to be known as the "First Annual Florida Keys Air Show at Marathon" on May 3rd and 4th, 1969, between the approximate hours of 12:45 P. M. and 5:00 P.M. , for the purpose of raising funds for the benefit of the Mara- thon Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Corps, to promote safety and interest in aviation, and to generally promote the fabulous Florida Keys. This authority is granted contingent upon the said Helen Holland En- terprises furnishing Monroe County, Florida the following documents and assurances, at least two weeks prior to May 3, 1969: (a) Written approval of the Federal Aviation Administration for the staging of said air show. (b) Public liability insurance in the amount of $1, 000, 000. 00, said policy to designate Monroe County, Florida as one of the parties insured. (c) A. hold harmless and indemnification agreement to Monroe County, Florida and contractural liability insurance sup- porting said agreement, in a form to be approved by Monroe County. (d) Trash clean-up agreement and cash bond as guarantee, . said agreement and cash bond to be in a form and amount agreeable to Monroe County. (e) A. letter to the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, guaranteeing police supervision to main- tain order, traffic control and parking on the Airport, said letter to be co -signed by Helen Holland Enterprises and the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the said Helen K. Holland Enterprises.
