RESOLUTION NO. 125-1969
WHEREAS, the Almighty Father in His Divine Providence has seen
fit to remove from our midst the Honorable Samuel L. Golan~ outstanding
citizen and businessman of Key West, and
WHEREAS, the said Samuel L. Golan served the County of Monroe
as a member of the Monroe County Advertising Commission from the year
of its inception until his death, and his untiring efforts in promoting and
advertising Key West and the rest of the Florida Keys aided tremendously
in the growth of Monroe County, and
WHEREAS, his death has caused much sorrow to his relatives and
many friends, and it is only fitting and proper that an expression of regret
and sympathy be made, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that our deepest and heartfelt sympathy
is hereby expressed on the passing of Samuel L. Golan, beloved husband,
father, outstanding citizen and distinguished public servant and busines s-
man, and deep sympathy is hereby conveyed to his family.
BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of
said Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward a certified copy of
this Resolution to the family of the said Samuel L. Golan.
