A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR~~N TO
EXECUTE THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE COUNTY OF MONROE AND THE CITY OF KEY
WEST FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING RECREA-
TIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE KEY WEST GIRLS
BASEBALL LEAGUE PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
That the Chairman 1S hereby authorized to execute
the Inter1oca1 Agreement between the County of Monroe and
the City of Key West for the purpose of providing recreational
facilities for the Key West Girls Baseball League Program, a
copy of said Inter1oca1 Agreement being attached to this
resolution.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, this 22nd day of May, 1979.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
:CHIS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT made and entered into this
22nd
day of
May
, A.D. 1719, by and between the ClUNTY
OF MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the
State of florida, hereinafter called the "County", and ThZ CITY
OF KEY WEST, FLORIDA, a municipaJ corporation organized and
existing under the laws of the State of Florida, hereinafter
called th,;,:;; "Ci ty"; and
WHERLA.S, the County and the City are authorized tc enter into
this agreement by Chapter 125 and Section 163.01 Florida Statutes,
as amended 1 which permits a public agency of the State ot Florida,
to exercise jointly with any other public agency of the State, any
power, prLvilege, or authority which such agencies share in common
and which each might exercise separately, and
WHEREAS, both of the parties hereto have the authority to
provide recreational facilities for its citizens,
NOW, THEREFORE,
In consideration of the mutual covpnants, promises and no-
presentations herein, the parties hereto agree as follows:
WIT N E SSE T H:
1. The purpose of this agreement is to provide recreat~onal
facilities for the Key West Girls Baseball League Program in the
City of Key West, Florida, at Peary Court, ~ey West, F1o_ida.
2. The County agrees to contribute labor and materials in
an &.~1iuunt not to exceed TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2.,000.00) out c:..-
its Gener&l Revenue Fund.
3. rne City agrees to provide the necessary property tLI
be located at Peary Court for installation of the recreation21
facilities and to provide the labor necessary to complete the
project.
