RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CON-
VEYANCE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO THE NATURE
CONSERVANCY, AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN
OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE THE
WARRANTY DEED CONVEYING SAID PROPERTY
AND AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE IN ESCROW.
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, owns certain property
as specifically described in the attached Warranty Deed, said
property also being known as the Great White Heron Wildlife
Re fuge, and
WHEREAS, The Nature Conservancy, a non-profit corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the District of
Columbia, desires to purchase said property from Monroe County,
Florida, for the purpose of promoting community interest and
welfare, and
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Florida, is desirous of selling
and conveying said property to The Nature Conservancy, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF

MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the sale of the property as specifically des-
cribed in the attached Warranty Deed is hereby authorized and
directed to be made for the sum of Twenty-two Thousand, Four
Hundred Dollars ($22,400.00) to The Nature Conservancy, a
non-profit corporation organized and existing under the laws
of the District of Columbia.
2. That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, 1S hereby authorized to execute
said Warranty Deed conveying said property to The Nature
Conservancy.
3. That the Chairman of th~ Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, 1S hereby authorized to execute
Authorization to Close in Escrow.

second part,
WITNESSETH that the said party of the first part, for and
in consideration of the sum of **Twenty-two Thousand Four Hundred
($22,400.00) Dollars** to it in hand paid by the party of the
second part, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted,

bargained and sold to the party of the second part, his heirs and
assigns forever, the following described land lying and being in
Monroe County, Florida:
Government Lots 2 and 3, Section 29, Township 67
South, Range 27 East, and Government Lot 1, Sec-
tion 30, Township 67 South, Range 27 East, South
Saddlebunch Key, situate, lying and being in
Monroe County, Florida.
Subject to easement restrictions and reservations
of record, butthis reference thereto shall not
operate to reimpose the same.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the said party of the first part has
caused these presents to be executed in its name by its Board of
County Commissioners acting by the Chairman or Vice Chairman of
said Board, the day and year aforesaid.

AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE IN ESCROW
WHEREAS Monroe County, Florida, is selling to The Nature
Conservancy, and whereas The Nature Conservancy is purchasing from
Monroe County, Florida, the following real property: Government
Lots 2 and 3, Section 29, Township 67 South, Range 27 East, and
Government Lot 1, Section 30, Township 67 South, Range 27 East,
South Saddlebunch Key, situate, lying and being in Monroe County,
Florida;
WHEREAS The Nature Conservancy is acquiring owner's title
insurance through the services of First Title Service Company of
the Florida Keys, Inc.;
WHEREAS both parties hereto request and authorize First Title
Service Company of the Florida Keys, Inc., to close said transaction
in escrow, pursuant to the instructions of each party;
NOW, THEREFORE, Monroe County, Florida, and The Nature Con-
servancy, by their designated officers, hereby authorize and request
First Title Service Company of the Florida Keys, Inc., to close the
foregoing transaction in escrow, pursuant to instructions of each party.
The Nature Conservancy shall pay for all title insurance and escrow
closing fee charged by First Title Service Company of the Florida Keys,
Inc., in connection with the Conservancy's acquisition of the above
real property.
