RESOLUTION NO.194 -1979
RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE
AND APPRECIATION TO ALL THOSE \VHO ASSISTED DUR-
ING THE HURRICANE DAVID CRISIS.
WHEREAS, during the period September 1, 1979, through
September 4, 1979, Hurricane David did present a threat to
the Florida Keys and Monroe County. and
WHEREAS, during said period many organizations and
individuals provided services and dedication to assisting
and preparing for the crisis in order to assure the health,
safety and welfare of the citizens of Monroe County, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, does wish to express publicly and to recog-
nize publicly the unselfish and total dedication of all the
individuals and/or organizations who participated in any
activity which assured the health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of Monroe County, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the Board does hereby publicly and personally
express its deepest gratitude and appreciation and commenda-
tion to each and every individual and organization which par-
ticipated in preparing for the crisis of Hurricane David.
2. That the number of individuals and organizations
which assisted are innumerable and would take a considerable
amount of time to list, however, the Board does wish to pro-
vide said organizations and individuals with its personal
and combined expression of thanks and gratitude.
3. That the Clerk of said Board is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to each and every organiza-
tion and individual who did assist and/or participate in
