RESOLUTION DECLARING.THAT A COUNTY.PURPOSE IS'....
SERVED AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT -BY AND BE-
TWEEN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND.WESLEY HOUSE COM-
MUNITY CENTER, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, did adopt Ordinance No. 16-1979, which pro-
vides for the Board to Contract with non -governmental organi-
zations when said organization performs a valid County
purpose, and
WHEREAS, Wesley House.Community Center; Inc., does
provide a valid County purpose -by providing day care welfare
services for the citizens of Monroe County and more specifical-
ly for those in the Key West, Monroe County, Florida, area,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the Board finds that the Wesley House'Community
Center, Inc., performs a valid County function and/or pur-
pose in the course of its activities and that the interests
of the citizens of Monroe County are served by'contracting
the organization to perform "the service of providing day care
welfare services in Key West, Monroe County, Florida.

That the Chairman
of
said Board
is hereby
authorized
to execute
an:.agreement by
and
between the
Board of
County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and the Wesley
House Community Center, Inc., a copy of same being attached
hereto.
Passed and adopted'by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, this 23rd day of October, 1979.

WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the WESLEY HOUSE COMMUNITY CENTER,
INC., a private non-profit Florida corporation, desires to
enter into an agreement wherein the Board of County Commis-
sioners contracts for services from said Center for the
rendering of day care welfare services to the citizens of
Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, is vested and charged with certain duties
and responsibilities relating to the day care welfare ser-
vices of the citizens of Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, such services have been invaluable to the
citizens of Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, it is proper and fitting to enter into an
agreement for services to be rendered in the forthcoming
year 1979-80; now, therefore,
THIS AGREEMENT, Made between the BOARD OF COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the WESLEY HOUSE
COMMUNITY CENTER, INC., each in the consideration of the
premises, agree as follows:
The said Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, in consideration of said Wesley House Community
Center, Inc., substantially and satisfactorily performing
and carrying out the duties and obligations of the Board as
to rendering day care welfare services for the citizens of
Monroe County, Florida, agrees to:
Pay to the said WESLEY HOUSE COMMUNITY CENTER, INC.,
the sum of TEN.THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) for the fiscal
year 1979-80.
This figure will be paid monthly commencing October 1,
1979, and terminating September 30, 1980, as hereinafter set
forth.

And the said Wesley House Community Center, Inc., for
the consideration named, covenants and agrees with the Board
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, to sub-
stantially and satisfactorily perform and carry out the
duties of the said Board in rendering day care welfare
services to the citizens of Monroe County, Florida.
In further consideration of said financial remuneration,
the said Center agrees to provide a clear financial audit
trail to allow for full accountability of funds received
from said Board. Certified monthly financial and service
load reports will be made available to the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, to validate the
delivery of services under this contract. The monthly
financial report is due in the office of the Clerk of the
Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, no
later than the 15th day of the following iimnth. After the
Clerk of the Board pre -audits the certified report, the
Board will reimburse said Wesley House Community Center,
Inc., for its monthly expenses. However, the total of said
monthly payments in the aggregate sum shall not exceed the
total amount of $10,000.00 for day care welfare services
during the term of this contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, has caused these presents to be
signed in its name by its Chairman, Board of County Commis-
sioners and attested to by its Clerk, and the Wesley House
Community Center; Inc., has caused these presents to be
signed in its name by its President and attested to by its
Secretary, all as of the 23rd day of October , A.D.
