RESOLUTION NO. 288_ 1979
RESOLUTION REQUESTING CITY OF KEY WEST TO
ESTABLISH A JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE WITH
THE COUNTY OF MONROE.
WHEREAS, it is recognized there are items of mutual
concern between the City of Key West and County of Monroe, and,
WHEREAS, those mutual concerns include the:
1. public housing problem
2. property exchanges
3. redevelopment of excessed government properties
4. joint purchasing efforts, etc.
and,
WHEREAS, a Joint Liaison Committee between both public
bodies would assure all concerned that resolution of these issues
might be effected in the most beneficial manner for the residents
of the community, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~WISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the County of Monroe does not~ereby request
the City of Key West to establish a Joint Liaison Committee
consisting of the City Mananger to work in conjunction with the
County Liaison Committee consisting of the County Administrator.
2. It is requested that such committee be appointed
at the earliest possible date and the County be advised immediately
upon said appointment so that an early meeting of said Liaison
Committee can be held.

hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution
to the City of Key West for their appropriate action.
