Resolution 031-1980 RESOLUTION NO. 31 -1980 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY OF KEY WEST, FLORIDA TO RECONSIDER THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA'S RESOLUTION NO. 17-1980 CON- CEm~ING THE ESTABLISHING OF A P~DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, wishes to fully cooperate with the City of Key West, Florida, in regards to the Truman Annex surplus property, and WHEREAS, the City of Key West has had before it a request by the Board of County Commissioners pursuant to the attached resolutions requesting that a Joint Liaison Committee be established to assist in the redevelopment of said property, and, WHEREAS, the County has also previously endorsed the concept of establishing a Joint Redevelopment Authority to be composed of two (2) County Commissioners and three (3) City Commissioners from the City of Key West, Florida, with final plan to be approved by both public bodies and said concept has been placed before the City Commission of the City of Key West, Florida, and the County Commission, and WHEREAS, the County does still desire to fully cooperate and coordinate jointly with the City in regards to the redevelopment, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. That the City of Key West, Florida, is hereby requested to reconsider the attached resolutions and jointly approve the establishment of a joint commission of the City and County governments for the redevelopment of the Truman Annex surplus property.
