RESOLUTION NO.173 - 1978
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE RE-
VISED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH SCHOOL BOARD
FOR SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM FOR UPPER KEYS.
WHEREAS, on April 19, 1978, the Board executed an Interlocal
Agreement relating to the Summer Recreation Program to be provided by
the School Board in the Upper Keys, and
WHEREAS, said Interlocal provided for allocation of County
moneys between the Plantation and Key Largo Elementary and Coral
Shores High Schools, and
WHEREAS, the School Board has determined that the programs
will be administered only at the Coral Shores High School but will
serve the students at all three schools, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
CO~TY, FLORIDA that the Chairman of the Board be and he is hereby
authorized to execute in behalf of the Board, the original and dupli-
cate of the Revised Interlocal Agreement, a copy of which is attached
hereto.
The Clerk is hereby authorized to forward an executed copy of
said Interlocal Agreement to the Superintendent of Public Instruction
for their records and to request and receive an executed copy of same
from the Board of Public Instruction.
RESOLVED in regular meeting at Key West, Florida this 11th day
of July, A.D. 1978.

INTERLOCAL AGREE~~NT
THIS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT made and entered into this 11th
day of July ,A.D. 1978, by and between MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA and the
MONROE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD.
WHEREAS, the parties hereto are desirous of providing for a
Summer Recreation Program in the Upper Keys to be administered by the
Monroe County School Board with certain funds for same being given by
the County, and
WHEREAS, the County has budgeted $3,000.00 for said program
in fiscal year 1977-78, NOW THEREFORE
IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED as follows:
1. That the County shall make available to the Monroe County
School Board the sum of $3,000.00 to purchase various recreational
supplies, materials and equipment as shall be deemed necessary by the
Monroe County School Board for the conduct of said Board's Summer
Recreational Program at Coral Shores School.
2. That said sum to be provided shall be spent by the Board
for the Summer Recreation Program at Coral Shores School which will also
be serving the students from Plantation and Key Largo Elementary Schools.
3. The Board shall purchase said recreational supplies,
equipment and materials to be used to implement said program and shall submit,
no later than September 30, 1978, the invoices for same to the County for
payment.
4. That said Board shall thereafter be the owner of said
supplies, equipment and materials so purchased.
