RESOLUTION EXPRESSING GRADITUDE TO
MRS. BEULAH G. DE MERRIT FOR TWENTY-
FIVE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, on October 26, 1953, Mrs. Beulah G. DeMerritt com-
menced her employment with Monroe County, Florida working as the sole
bookkeeper for Mr. Earl R. Adams, then Clerk of the Board of County
Commissioners, and after many dedicated years at said employment,
Mrs. DeMerritt prematurely retired, but due to her expertise, only to
be shortly thereafter requested by the Board of County Commissioners
to return to her previous employment and assist in the transition
occasioned by the retirement of the said Mr. Earl R. Adams as Clerk
whose office and duties were then being transferred to Mr. Ralph W.
White, and
WHEREAS, after said orderly transition was accomplished, her
expertise was again required in the Monroe County Public Works Depart-
ment where she once again ably served, and
WHEREAS, after twenty-five years of conscientious, dedicated,
outstanding and loyal service, the said Mrs. Beulah G. DeMerritt will
be retiring from county service July 15, 1978, and
WHEREAS, said retirement is well deserved and the Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida wishes to express its
gratitude to Mrs. DeMerritt for her outstanding service to Monroe
County, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board hereby expresses its appreciation and
gratitude to MRS. BEULAH G. DE MERRITT for her twenty-five years of
dedicated service to the citizens of Monroe County, Florida as afore-
said, and to wish her happiness in her well earned retirement.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Beulah G. De Merritt.
