WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida
entered into a continuing agreement with Post, Buckley, Mooney and Schuh,
Inc., a Florida Corporation, on July 20, 1967, whereby said firm and/or
its successors, Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., a Florida Corporation,
serves as Consulting Engineers to said Board for the Card Sound Road and
Toll Bridge Facility and
WHEREAS, said agreement was amended by Resolution No. 40-1968 of
said Board, on June llth, 1968, to correct a certain date and section
number of Resolution No. 54-1967, the "Bond Resolution", referenced
therein and
WHEREAS, said Board pursuant to motion duly adopted in regular session
on September 26, 1978, desires said firm to continue providing Consulting
Engineering services under the terms of said agreement as amended, except
that the compensation for consulting services as provided therein is to
be adjusted; now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, that the first sentence of paragraph A. Consulting Services, of
SECTION II. COMPENSATION, of that certain agreement dated July 20, 1967
as amended on June llth, 1968, between the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, and Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., as
successor to Post, Buckley, Mooney and Schuh, Inc., be, and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"In consideration for the consulting services provided
for in I. A., above, the Commission agrees to pay solely
from toll revenues and the Engineer agrees to accept the
sum of $10,000.00 per year, payable at the rate of
$833.33 per month, effective October 1st, 1978."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that all other provisions of
said agreement as amended shall remain in effect and the same are hereby
reconfirmed, except that necessary vehicular travel in connection with
additional services as defined in the agreement, when such services are
e.,
authorized by said board, shall be reimbursed to the Engineer at the
current rate per mile provided by law for public officers and employees,
rather than $.10 per mile as shown in SECTION II, C., e., of said agree-
ment as amended.
