RESOLUTION NO. 278-1978
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN
OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY AND
BETWEEN THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~1MISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND THE MONROE ALCOHOLISM
REHABILITATION CENTER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman be authorized to execute an
Agreement by and between the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, and the Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilitation
Center, a copy of same being attached hereto.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 14th
day of November, 1978.

A G R E E MEN T
HHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM REHABILITATION CENTER
desire to enter into an agreement wherein the Board of County
Commissioners contracts for services from said Center in rendering
an alcoholism rehabilitation program to the citizens of Honroe
County, Florida, and
HHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Honroe
County, Florida, is vested and charged with certain duties and re-
sponbilities relating to alcoholism rehabilitation of the citizens
of Monroe County, and
HHEREAS, such services have been invaluable to the citizens
of Monroe County, Florida, and
HHEREAS, it is proper and fitting to enter into an agree-
ment for services to be rendered in the forthcoming year 1978-79;
now, therefore,
THIS AGREEMENT, Made between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, and the MONROE ALCOHOLISM RE-
HABILITATION CENTER, each in the consideration of the premises,
agree as follows:
The said Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, in consideration of said Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilitation
Center substantially and satisfactorily performing and carrying
out part of the duties and oblieations of the Board as to alcohol-
ism rehabilitation for the citizens of Monroe County, Florida,
agree to pay to the said Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilitation Center
the sum of Forty Thousand Five Hundred Forty-seven Dollars
($40,547.00). This figure will be paid monthly commencing
October 1, 1978, and terminating September 30, 1979, as hereinafter
set forth.
And the said Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilitation Center, for
the consideration named, covenants and agrees with the Board of

County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, to substantially
and satisfactorily perform and carry out part of the duties of
the said Board in rendering an alcoholism rehabilitation program
to the citizens of Monroe County, Florida.
In further consideration of said financial remuneration,
the said Monroe Alcoholism Rehabilitation Center agrees to provide
a clear financial audit trail to allow for full accountability of
funds received from said Board. Certified monthly financial and
service load reports will be made available to the Board of County
Commissioners of }1onroe County, Florida, to validate the delivery
of services under this contract. The monthly financial report is
due in the office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, no later than the 15th day of the fol-
lowing month. After the Clerk of the Board pre-audits the certified
report, the Board will reimburse said Monroe Alcoholism Rehabili-
tat ion Center for its monthly expenses. However, the total of
said monthly payments in the aggregate sum shall not exceed the
total amount of $40,547.00 during the term of this contract.
IN HITNESS HHEREOF, the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, has caused these presents to be signed in
its name by its Chairman, Board of County Commissioners, and the
Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners and the Monroe Alco-
holism Rehabilitation Cetner has caused these presents to be
signed in its name by its Director and President of the Board, all
as of the
