RESOLUTION NO. 67 - 1980
WHEREAS, due to the condition of the plumbing facilities at
the Monroe County Jail in Cell Block 4 and the Trustee's Section
it was imperative that repairs be made immediately in order to
avoid said Jail being closed by the Florida Department of Corrections,
and,
WHEREAS, it was necessary to declare said situation an emergency
and said situation required the County Administrator to authorize
said repairs on February 29, 1980, as well as approve expenditure
of funds for same repairs, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, does desire to ratify and confirm the actions of the
County Administrator In authorizing said repairs and expenditures
of funds, and
WHEREAS, said Board desires to enter into a contract with
Roberts Plumbing Contractors for the performance of said repairs
with the acceptance of said contract bearing date of February 29,
1980, and
WHEREAS, said Board also desires to provide for partial payment
of $6,392.40 to be made for work performed within seven (7) days ,
to Roberts Plumbing Contractors, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, hereby ratifies and confirms the action of the County
Administrator on February 29, 1980 In authorizing required repairs
of plumbing fixtures at the Monroe County Jail.
2. That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
of Monroe County, Florida, IS hereby authorized to execute the

acceptance of the proposal submitted by Roberts Plumbing
Contractors as of February 29, 1980.
3. That partial payment of $6,392.40 be made upon
adoption of this resolution.
