Resolution 045-1981 RESOLUTION NO. 45- 1981 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~WISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE A MODIFICATION AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN ISLAND CITY FLYING SERVICE, INC. AND THE COUNTY OF MONROE, STATE OF FLORIDA, CONCERNING PROPERTY LO- CATED AT MARATHON AIRPORT, MARATHON, MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County is hereby authorized to execute a Modification Agree- ment by and between Island City Flying Service, Inc. and the County of Monroe, State of Florida, a copy of same being attached hereto and made a part hereof, concerning property located at Marathon Airport, Marathon, Monroe County, Florida. Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 24th day of February, A. D. 1981. WHEREAS,.I6Iand City Flying Service, Inc. has sold the Marathon operation locpted at the Marathon Airport, Monroe County, florida, to ." Marathon Air Services, Inc., and WHERE1\S, Islan.d City Flying Service, Inc. IS required to release any of its ILght, title and interest in and to any property located at the Mara:~on Airport, Moroe County, Florida, and .. WHEREAS-, tIre lease previously entered into between Island City Flying Service~. Inc. and the County of Monroe, State of Florida ;, provided for leasing of facilities at both Marathon Airport and Key West IDternational Airport, and included a lump sum payment for both t ac i 1 it i e s, and WHEREAS, Monroe County has now entered into a Lease Agreement ~ith Marathon Air Services, Inc. upon the condition that Island City 'lying Servtce, Inc. releases its interest in the Marathon facility, NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and . . . covenants hereiu contained, it is agreed that the Lease Agreement dated Novemher 29, 1979, between Island City Flying Service, Inc. an~ the County of Monroe, State of Florida, is hereby amended as follows, 1. ~nc partl~s specifically agree that any and all land pre- .lousl) leased tOo ISland Ci ty Flying Service, Inc. at the Marathon .Airport and being more particularly described in said lease, shall be . & .teleted from said lease and Island City Flying Service, Inc. specifi- cally releuses any right, title and interest in and to said facility such that .the parties specifically agree that the only premises now to be leased by 1s1and City Flying Service, Inc. is located at Key West Interantional Airport, said premises being more fully de- ~cribed in the lease. 2. That the rent paid for only the Key West International Airport facilities shall be reduced to $954.00 per month for 1981, and that paragraph 2. of the said lease is hereby amended accord- ingly: Page 1 of 2 Pages "2. RENTAL. The Lessee covenants and agrees to pay the Lessor l~ advance fur' rent of said property during the term of this lease as follows: (d) . $954~f~ plus tax per month beginning March 1, 1981, thr~~gh September 30, 1981.
