RESOLUTION.REQUESTION TRAFFIC LIGHT
SURVET AT U.S. HIGHWAY #1 AND 109TH
STREET, MARATHON, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA.is desirous of having a traffic light installed at the
intersection .of U.S. Highway ##1 and, 109th. Street, Marathon, Florida
to insure the safety of traveling motorists,.school.children and
public, and
WHEREAS, that intersection is heavily traveled by the citizens
of Marathon, Monroe County, Florida, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Department of Transportation of the State of
Florida be, and -it is hereby r.equested.to make a traffic survey at the
intersection of U.S. Highway #1 and 109th`Street, Marathon, Monroe
County; Florida t'o determine whether or not'a.traffic control light
should be placed in this area of U.S. Highway #1 in order to alleviate
the hazardous traffic conditions existing there now.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that -the -Clerk of said
Board be and he is hereby authorized:.to.forward certified copies of
this resolution to the Department'of Transportation of the State of
Florida, for appropriate -action.
