RESOLUTION NO. 62 -1978
'~EREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, has recognized the need for review of library
facilities in Monroe County, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined
that planning for adequate library facilities for the citizens
of Monroe County is necessary, and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Library Board has requested the
Board of County Commissioners to authorize a request to the State
of Florida, State Librarian, to perform a study of the library
needs of Monroe County, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board hereby requests the
State Librarian to consider authorizing a survey on the library
needs of Monroe County, at no cost to the County; or that a
request be entertained for a grant for funds from the State to
perform such a study at no cost to the citizens of the County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that a certified
copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the State Librarian,
Tallahassee, Florida; and spread upon the Official Minutes of
the Board of County Commissioners.
