RESOLUTION NO. 76 -1978
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING SUPPORT OF HOUSE BILL 219
RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTALLY ENDANGERED LAND AND
CREATING THE FLORIDA ENVIRONMENTALLY ENDANGERED
LAND TRUST FUND WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, House Bill 219 is scheduled to be introduced at
the 1978 Session of the Florida Legislature, which relates to
environmentally endangered land and creates the Florida Environ-
mentally Endangered Land Trust Fund within the Department of
Natural Resrouces, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Monroe County, Florida, that passage of said House
Bill 219 would be in theHest interest of the citizens of Monroe
County, Florida, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board does hereby acknowledge support of
House Bill 219 which relates to environmentally endangered land
and creates the Florida Environmentally Endangered Land Trust
Fund within the Department of Natural Resources.
2. That said Board does hereby request iliat the Monroe
County Legislative delegation support said House Bill 219 and
request fellow members of the Legislature to also support the pass-
age of said legislation.
3. That certified copies of this resolution be forwarded
to the Monroe County Legislative delegation and Representative A.
H. Craig.
