RESOLUTION NO~61 -1977
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN OF
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, TO EXECUTE AN AMENDED LEASE BY AND BETI~EEN
CHARLES H. MUNZ AND MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR A
TWO ACRE TRACT OF LAND AT KEY LARGO, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COm~TY, FLORIDA, as follows:
That the Mayor and Chairman be authorized to execute an
amended Lease by and between Charles H. Munz and Monroe County,
Florida, copy of same attached hereto, leasing a two acre tract
of land at Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida, said amended lease
amending paragraph 2 of the original lease approved at a regular
meeting held by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, on June 7, 1977, setting the initial term of said
amended lease to be for a six (6) months period. After the expira-
tion of said initial term, the lecse shall be month to month.
Passed and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 23rd day
of August, 1977.

LEASE
THIS LEASE entered into this 6th day of September
,A.D.
1977, by and between CHARLES H. MUNZ, Lessor, and MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, Lessee,
WIT N E SSE T H:
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
is desirous of leasing from the said CHARLES H. MUNZ approximately
two (2) acres of land at Key Largo, Florida, and said Lessor is
desirous of leasing same, now, therefore,
IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED that the said CHARLES H. MUNZ does
hereby lease to MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, the following described land:
A tract of land in a portion of West 1/2 of the
Southwest 1/4 of Section 23, Township 62 South,
Range 38 East, Monroe County, Florida, more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the southerly
right-of-way line of the Overseas Highway (U.S. 1)
and the Eastern boundary line of the West 1/2 of
the Southwest 1/4 of Section 23, Township 62 South,
Range 38 East, bear South 40 degrees 29 minutes
West a distance of 900.00' to a point of beginning;
thence bear South 49 degrees 31 minutes East a dis-
tance of 175.00'; thence bear South 40 degrees 29
minutes West a distance of 500.00'; thence bear
North 49 degrees 31 minutes West a distance of
175.00'; thence bear North 40 degrees 29 minutes
East a distance of 500.00' back to the point of
beginning. Tract of land containing 2.0 acres plus
or minus.
2. The term of said lease shall be for a six (6) months
period starting July 1, 1977. After the initial term, the lease
shall be month to month.
3. During the term of this lease, the Lessor shall be
paid $100.00 per month, the first said lease payment being due one
month from July 1, 1977, and then one such payment each month
thereafter until the expiration of this lease.
4. Lessor shall be held harmless from all claims or
damages arising from the Lessee's use of said land.

5. Lessor hereby represents that he has good title to
said real estate and has legal authorit~ to lea~e same.
