RESOLUTION NO. 248 -1977
RESOLUTION REQUESTING STATE OF FLORIDA TO PROVIDE
APPROPRIATE FUNDING FOR RESTORATION AND PERPETUA-
TION OF PUBLIC LAND SURVEY CORNERS PROGR.A..NJ:.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 77-361, Laws of Florida,
the 1977 Florida Legislature authorized a Restoration and Per-
petuation of Public Land Survey Corners Program, and
WHEREAS, such a program is essential to the proper manage-
ment of the land resources of our State, and
vlliEREAS, such a program is an integral part of achieving
full implementation of the Comprehensive Master Land Use Plan to
be adopted under the requirements of the Local Government Compre-
hensive Planning Act of 1974, and
WHEREAS, such a program is, therefore, directly beneficial
to all communities of the State, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby supports the Restoration and
Perpetuation of Public Land Survey Corners Program,
2. That said Board hereby requests the Governor of the
State of Florida and the Florida Legislature to appropriately fund
this Program as requested in the proposed budget of the Department
of Natural Resources.
3. That said Board hereby directs that copies of this
Resolution be forwarded to the Governor of the State of Florida,
the Cabinet of the State of Florida, and our Legislative De1ega-
tion.
