Resolution 103-1976 RESOLUTION NO. 103_ 1976 WHEREAS, SOUTHERN AIRWAYS, INC. has filed an application with the CIVIL AERONAUTICS BOARD for authority to serve fifteen Florida communities, including the City of Key West, and WHEREAS, if said application is favorably reviewed and approved, SOUTHERN AIRWAYS, INC. would provide Key West with single plane jet service to such Florida cities as Miami, Orlando and Tallahassee, among others, and WHEREAS, said flight service would be to the great benefit and convenience of the citizens of Monroe County, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Civil Aeronautics Board be requested to grant the application of Southern Airways, Inc.. and issue to Southern Airways an amended certificate of public convenience and necessity for Route 98 which will allow Southern Airways to establish regular jet flights to and from Key West, Monroe County, Florida.. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Civil Aeronautics Board, Washington, D.C., to the Honorable Senator Lawton Chiles, to the Honorable Senator Richard Stone and to the Honorable Dante F. Fascell, United States Representative and that they be requested to support the application of Southern Airways, Inc.
