Resolution 107-1976 RESOLUTION NO. 10~1976 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, is desirous of pursuing the recommendations con- tained in the Key West International Airport Master PIan Study pertaining specifically to the construction of paved safety special use overrun on each end of runway 9-27 such that the airport run- way will be capable of accommodating the designated critical air- craft as contained in said ~fuster PIan, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Department of Transportation, State of Florida, is hereby requested to concur with the County's request to participate in an interlocal agreement providing con- struction, engineering, testing, and supervision of the Key West International Airport Master PIan Study, specifically to the construction of paved safety special use overrun on each end of runway 9-27 such that the airport runway will be capable of accommodating the designated critical aircraft in said Master PIan, and that in said interlocal agreement said Department of Transportation agrees to pay 50% of the estimated cost of con- struction, engineering, testing and supervision incurred in the paving of safety special use overruns on each end of runway 9-27 at the Key West International Airport. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the County Development Director, Jack Burke, is hereby directed to prepare the necessary documentation pertaining to acquiring special funds and to present said documentation to said Board for approval.
