Resolution 148-1976RETEA .,.F, . - -31 RESOLUTION NO. 148- 1976 RESOLUTION REQUESTING SHERIFF'S DEPART- MENT AND FLORIDA MARINE PATROL TO ENFORCE FLORIDA LITTER LAW. WHEREAS, it has come to the Board's attention that areas adjacent to the -Bahia Honda State Park on State owned land and rights-of"way is being used illegally for commercial lobster off loading and storage of lobster gaps, and WHEREAS, as a result of said illegal and unauthorized activities, abundant littering is being occasioned in violation of Florida Statutes 403.413 to such an extent that the same creates a public nuisance which should be immediately abated,. now therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Monroe County Sheriff's Depart- ment and the Florida Marine Patrol be and they are hereby requested to investigate such commercial lobstering activities as set forth above with reference to determining whether there exist violations of F.S. 403.413 and that, if violations are found to exist, that the persons, firms or corporations respon- sible for same be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of F.S. 403.413. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the office of the Monroe County Sheriff and the. local Florida Marine Patrol.
