Resolution 160-1976 RESOLUTION NO. 160 - 1976 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE, AUTHORIZING THE DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE TO EXECUTE THE REQUIRED AP- PLICATION AND DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO OBTAIN AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION (EDA) GRANT FOR PURCHASE, CONSTRUCTION AND PLACE- MENT OF INCINERATORS AND AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO EXECUTE ASSURANCES OF COMPLIANCE WITH TITLE VI AND VII OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 AND EXECUTIVE ORDER 11246. WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA deems it of public necessity and in the public interest to make application for a grant under the Local Public Works Capital Development and Investment Program for the purchase, construction and placement of three incinerators in Monroe County, Florida; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA as follows: Section 1. That CHARLES P. AGUERO, Manager of the Monroe County Municipal Service District be and he is hereby design~ted the authorized representative and authorized to execute and file, on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, an application for an EDA Grant for the purchase, construction and placement of three (3) incinerators in Monroe County, Florida. Section 2. That CHARLES p. AGUERO, in behalf of Monroe County, be and he is hereby authaized and directed to furnish such information as the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Develop- ment Administration may reasonably request in connection with the application. Section 3. That CHARLES P. AGUERO, Manager for the Board, be and he is hereby authorized to execute forms assuring compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended and any regulation issued pursuant thereto. -2- Section 4. That the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, will comply with the requirements of Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375, per- taining to equal employment opportunity in federally assisted contracts. Section 5. That this resolution shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this 28th day of September, 1976.
