Resolution 193-1976RESOLUTION NO.193 -1976
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has passed
HR 13367 amending The State and Local Fiscal Assistance Law of
1972 and passed HR 9719, The Payments -in -lieu of Taxes Law, and
WHEREAS, the State Association of County Commissioners
was instrumental in urging the Congress to pass the above re-
ferred to legislation which has greatly benefited the counties
of the State of Florida, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, desires to commend and express its appreciation
to said organization, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, by this resolution it hereby commends
and expresses its appreciation to the State Association of County
Commissioners for its assistance and activities in urging the
passage of said legislation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of
said Board be, and he is hereby directed to forward certified
copies of this resolution to the Director and staff of the State
Association of County Commissioners.
