RESOLUTION NO.26 -1977
RESOLUTION REQUESTING D.O.T. TO DELAY WORK
ON COW KEY CHANNEL BRIDGE UNTIL MAY, 1977
WHEREAS, due to the traffic generated by the large numbers
of tourists in Monroe County at the present time, and
WHEREAS, the contractor who has been awarded the contract
to complete the Cow Key Channel Bridge repair work is presently
working on the Animal Import Center, and
WHEREAS, the contractor is slated to commence work on the
Cow Key Channel Bridge in March of 1977, and
WHEREAS, as a result of the aforesaid circumstances, the
Board is desirous of having said construction work rescheduled
to commence in May of 1977, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the State of Florida, Department of
Transportation be and it is hereby requested to delay start of
construction on said Cow Key Channel Bridge until May of 1977.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of
said Board shall forward a certified copy of this resolution to
the Department of Transportation.
RESOLVED in 'regular meeting at Marathon, Monroe County,
Florida, this 15th day of February, A.D.1977.
