Resolution 038-1977 RESOLUTION NO.38 -1977 RESOLUTION TO COM11ANDING OFFICER AT U.S. NAVAL AIR STATION REQUESTING THAT THE FORT TAYLOR'S OFFICERS CLUB BE TURNED OVER TO COUNTY OF MONROE WHEREAS, the United States Government has not as yet de- clared as surplus property located on the U.S. Naval Base commonly known as the Fort Taylor's Officers Club, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, is desirous of obtaining a license for said property so that it may be made available to Monroe County, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Captain James E. McCardell, Command- ing Officer, U.S. Naval Air Station, Boca Chica, Florida, be and he is hereby requested to grant or process for granting, a license, lease, or grant to the County of Monroe for use of the Fort Taylor's Officers Club. The Board hereby represents that if such a license be granted that the Board would comply with all requirements apper- taining to same. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that a certified copy of said resolution be forwarded to the Honorable Lawton M. Chiles, Senator, and the Honorable Richard "Dick" Stone, Senator, and to the Honorable Dante B. Fascell, Congressman, with the request that they support the goals and purposes of this resolution.
