RESOLUTION NO. 229- 1976
RESOLUTION OF NON -INTEREST TO DOT
RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO U. S. #1 AND
THE MARATHON AIRPORT
WHEREAS, by the terms of Resoluti?on No. 67 - 1976, the Board
requested that the Mass Transit Operations of the Florida. Department of
Transportation convey to the County a 56 foot'right-of-way along old U. S. No. 1
between the east and west limits of the Marathon Airport property, and
WHEREAS, the Department has notified the Board that it now
has need of said 56 foot strip of right-of-way, and
WHEREAS, the Board is- desirous of rescinding said Resolution
No. 67 - 1976 and .of, going on record as having no interest in acquiring said
56 foot right-of-way, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA as follows:
rescinded.
1. That Resolution No. 67 - 1976 be and the same is hereby
2. That the Board hereby goes on record disclaiming any interest
in acquiring said 56 foot right-of-way.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution. be forwarded to the
Florida Department of Transportation.
Resolved in regular session at Key West, Florida this 28th day
of December, A. D. 1976.
