RESOLUTION NO. 25 -1968
SECONDAR Y ROADS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida has previously authorized the construction of a 50' street, being
an extension of Northside Drive in the City of Key West, Monroe County, I
Florida, out of Monroe County, Florida Secondary Road Funds, and
WHEREAS, in order to construct said street it has become necessary
to condemn a portion of the right-of-way for said street, and
WHEREAS, said Board desires to file condemnation proceedings on
behalf of the State Road Department of the State of Florida and to pay for
the cost of said condemnation and acquisition of the necessary right-of-way
for said construction out of Monroe County, Florida Secondary Road Funds,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the State Road Department be, and
it is hereby requested to authorize Monroe County, Florida to institute con-
demnation proceedings on the following described right-of-way in the City
of Key West, Monroe County, Florida, to-wit:
A strip of land, fifty (50) feet in width, on the Island of Key
West, Monroe County, Florida, being more particularly de-
scribed as follows: Begin at the Northwest corner of Parcel
9 of a Plat of Survey, recorded in Plat Book 3 at Page 35
Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, and run thence
South 370 34' 20" East, for a distance of 650 feet; thence run
South 520 25' 40" West, for a distance of 50 feet; thence run
North 370 34' 20" West for a distance of 650 feet to the South
R/W of North Roosevelt Boulevard; thence run North 520 25'
40" East along the South R/W of the said North Roosevelt
Boulevard for a distance of 50 feet back to the Point of Beginning;
and to pay for the condemnation and acquisition of said right-of-way out of
Monroe County, Florida Secondary Road Funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAiD BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this
Re solution to the State Road Department for appropriate action.
