Resolution 033-1962 RESOLUTION NO. 33 -1962 SECONDARY ROADS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida previously adopted Resolution No. 29-1962, Secondary Roads, on November 27, 1962, and WHEREAS, said Board now desires to rescind said Resolution, and WHEREAS, there are many roads within the County which are in need of repair, and there are many roads in the County which need to be constructed or reconstructed, and WHEREAS, the County is desirous of having a survey made with re- gard to its road needs, and WHEREAS, the County has no employees with which to make such a survey, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 29-1962, Secondary Roads, adopted by said Board on November 27, 1962, be, and the same is hereby rescinded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the firm of Bailey-Mooney-Post Associates be employed to make a survey of the road needs, both primary and secondary, within Monroe County, and to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners as to the condition of the roads within the County; the priority with which they should be re- paired, constructed or reconstructed; the type of repair, construction or reconstruction to be done on each; the engineering design recommended; the right-of-way requirements for such work; and other related matters. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the County Attor- ney be hereby authorized to prepare a contract between the County and the firm of Bailey-Mooney-Post Associates for this work and submit it to the State Road Department for its approval, with the request that the fee be paid from secondary gas tax accruing to the State Road Department for use in Monroe County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this Resolution to the State Road Department for appropriate action.
