A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF
AN APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
PROGRAM AND REQUESTING ANY AND ALL TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE NEEDED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

WHEREAS, the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) has
announced the Federal Fiscal Year 1992 Small Cities
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding cycle; and
WHEREAS, Monroe County requests $550,971.00 in grant
funds from DCA and recognizes the no matching fund
requirement; and
WHEREAS, Monroe County desires to participate in the
Housing Rehabilitation activity and requests any and all
technical assistance needed from the Department of Community
Affairs to successfullly implement said project; now
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. The County Administrator is hereby authorized to
submit a Housing Rehabilitation Community Development Block
Grant application requesting $550,971.00 in funds to the
Department of Community Affairs, and to execute all
application documents on behalf of the Monroe County Board
of Commissioners, and that
2. The Department of Community Affairs is hereby
requested to furnish any and all technical assistance
necessary in the processing and utilization of said grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular
meeting of said Board held on the 29th day of January, A.D.
