RESOLUTION NO. 32 -1964
SECONDARY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, in cooperation with the State Road Department of the State of
Florida, intends to four-lane certain portions of State Road 5 (U. S. High-
way #1) throughout Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to acquire certain right-oi-way
in the Marathon area and in the Tavernier area, adjacent to said State Road
5 (U. S. Highway #1), and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain appraisals and acquire said
right-of-way, and said Board desires the State Road Department to handle
the appraisals and acquisition of said necessary riiht-of-way, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY I FLORIDA, that the State Road Department be, and
it is hereby authorized to have the necessary appraisals made, and to ne-
gotiate for the acquisition of the necessary right-of-way in order to four-
lane State Road 5 (U, S. Highway #1) in the Marathon, Monroe County,
Florida, area, and in the Tavernier, Monroe County, Florida, area,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this
Resolution to the State Road Department for appropriate action.
