Resolution 035-1965 RESOLUTION NO. 35 -1965 SECONDAR Y ROADS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, by Resolution No. 34-1965, Secondary Roads, requested the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida to loan to Monroe County, Florida a sum of money not to exceed $100,000 to pay for emergen- cy work in cleaning streets, highways and public facilities and filling washed- out roads damaged by Hurricane "Betsy", and WHEREAS, the cost of said emergency clean-up work and repairs has exceeded the original sum of $100,000 previously borrowed from said Trus- tees of the Internal Improvement Fund, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Comrrissioners of Monroe County, Florida desires to borrow an additional sum of money from said Trustees, not to exceed $100,000, and to repay said loan from any emergency funds received by said County as a result of said County being declared a disaster area, and/or out of Monroe County, Florida Secondary Road Funds, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Trustees of the Internal Improve.. ment Fund of the State of Florida be, and they are hereby requested to loan to Monroe County, Florida a sum of money not to exceed $100,000, in addi- tion to the sum of money previously borrowed by said County from said Trus- tees to pay for the emergency work in cleaning streets, highways, roads and public facilities damaged by Hurricane "Betsy", and the State Road Depart- ment be, and it is hereby authorized to reimburse said Trustees for said additional amount of money not to exceed $100,000, in the event Monroe County, Florida does not receive the necessary federal emergency funds within a year from the date of this Resolution, as a result of said County being declared a disaster area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this Resolution to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida and to the State Road Department, for appropriate action.
