RESOLUTION NO, 16 -1966
SECONDARY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, as a result of Hurricane IIBetsy", had to make repairs and clear
secondary roads in Monroe County, Florida of debris and trash, as an
emergency measure, in order to protect the health and welfare of the citi-
zens of said County, as well as the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, said Board does not have sufficient funds with which to
pay for said work, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the State Road Department be, and
it is hereby requested to loan to the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, out of the 1965-66 Secondary Road Budget Funds,
the sum of $90, 000. 00, in order for said Board to pay for said necessary
work on secondary roads in Monroe County, Florida as a result of Hurri-
cane IIBetsy!l.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby directed to forward certified copies of this
Resolution to the State Road Department for appropriate action.
