Resolution 071-1966 RESOLUTION NO. 71-1966 SECONDARY ROADS WHEREAS, the Board of County Corrunissioners of Monroe County, Florida deems it necessary, and in the interest of the public welfare and safety of the children attending the Poinciana School, to have installed at the intersection of 14th Street and Flagler Avenue in the City of Key West, Florida, a pedestrian overpass, to permit the children to cross said inter- section in safety, and WHEREAS, said Board desires to have the State Road Department include such pedestrian overpass in the present four-laning project of Flag- ler Avenue, as an emergency measure, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the State Road Department be, and it is hereby requested to include in the present four-laning project of Flag- ler Avenue in the City of Key West, Florida, the construction of a pedestrian overpass at the intersection of 14th Street and Flagler Avenue, as an emer- gency measure, and to pay for the cost of such construction out of Monroe County, Florida Secondary Road Funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this Resolution to the State Road Department for appropriate action.
