RESOLUTION NO. 099-1992
A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING THE EXISTENCE OF A
TRANSPORTATION REVIEW COMMITTEE, SPECIFYING,DIRECTION,
MEMBERSHIP, REQUESTED REPORT DATE AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EXPIRATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners from time to time
desires to involve citizens in the process of evaluating the
procedures and methods of government operation; and
WHEREAS, there has been much criticism of the numbers and
usage of Monroe County vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the staff has indicated an openness to have
citizens review and evaluate present procedures and methods; and
WHEREAS, other government agencies effectively use methods
which are different from those used in Monroe County; and
WHEREAS, new technology may provide the capability for
improved efficient operations if applied to Monroe County; now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
Section 1. That the Transportation Review Committee,
previously appointed by the Board of County Commissioners on
August 7, 1991, is hereby formalized.
Section 2. That the Transportation Review Committee shall
be composed of five citizens of Monroe County, one appointed by
each Commissioner.
Section 3. Where possible, committee members shall have
experience in transportation activities.
Section 4. The Transportation Review Committee shall only
be in existence until August 7, 1992. A report of the
committee's activities, is requested to be made prior to but not
later than August 7, 1992.
Section 5. The Transportation Review Committee shall review
transportation matters of Monroe County and offer suggestions on
changes to operations and methods as they deem appropriate.

Section 6. Staff will provide information and advice as
appropriate to the committee.
Section 7. The committee is encouraged to solicit and
receive input from concerned citizens regarding operations and
methods to improve transportation activities in Monroe County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 29th day of JanuarY,1992.
