FLORIDA. SUPPORTING FLORIDA SENATE BILL 1108 CONCERNING PUBLIC SCHOOL FINANCE. "- - ..... Jr---.- ~ WHEREAS, Florida Senate Bill 1108 prescribes a minimum allocation of state funds under the Florida Education Finance Program to a school district for current operation of schools in the district to 50 percent of the district's total school budget; and WHEREAS. Florida Senate Bill 1108 limits the local required effort under the program for a school district to 50 percent of the district's total school budget; and WHEREAS, Florida Senate Bill 1108 revises the formula for calculating the total annual state allocation to each district; and ~~EREAS. the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, desires to express its support for Florida Senate Bill 1108; NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA. as follows: 1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby expresses its support for Florida Senate Bill 1108. 2. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to forward copies of this resolution to the Monroe County Legislative Delegation.
