RESOLUTION NO.
2 -1970
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the
State of Florida, by Dedication Deed No. 24399, dedicated to Monroe Coun-
ty, Florida certain bay bottom lands for right-of-way purposes, said Deed
being recorded in Official Record Book 383, pages 1011/1012, Public Re-
cords of Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, said dedication was subject to certain provisions, one
of which was that in the event the County failed to maintain and use same
for road purposes for a period of three consecutive years, the dedication,
at the option of the Trustees, would be subject to termination upon sixty
days notice in writing to the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, said Board of County Commissioners was unable to
have the proposed road constructed during said three-year period, which
ended on November 8, 1969, and
WHEREAS, to date said Trustee s have not notified said Board that
they intend to exercise their option to terminate said dedication, and said
Board desires to have said road constructed, and
WHEREAS, said Board desires the Trustees of the Internal Im-
provement Fund to extend said dedication for an additional three years,
ending on November 8, 1972, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Trustees of the Internal Im-
provement Fund of the State of Florida be, and they are hereby requested
to extend the time which said Board has to construct a road on lands de-
dicated to Monroe County, Florida for road purposes by Dedication Deed
No. 24399, referred to above, and to execute an appropriate instrument
extending the time of said dedication for an additional three years, ending
on November 8, 1972.
BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of
said Board be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Trustees of the Internal Improve-
ment Fund of the State of Florida, for appropriate action.
