RESOLUTION NO. 21 -1970
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT FOR RECORD
WHEREAS, Summerland Key Cove, Inc., a Florida corporation, has
requested that the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida approve for record a plat known as rlSUMMERLAND COVE ISLES
BLOCK NO. I, a Subdivision of Submerged Lands in Section 35, Township
66 South, Range 28 East, Summerland Key, Monroe County, Floridarl, and
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor and County Zoning Director
have recommended that said Board approve said plat for record, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the plat known as "SUMMERLAND
COVE ISLES BLOCK NO.1, a Subdivision of Submerged Lands in Section
35, Township 66 South, Range 28 East, Summerland Key, Monroe County,
Florida" be, and the same is hereby approved for record, and the Chair-
man and Clerk of said Board are hereby authorized to sign the certificate
of approval on said plat.

Dear Mr. Cormack:
We have reviewed the proposed plat entitled, "Summerland Cove Isles,
Block No.1," and report that as far as the surveyor's work is
concerned, the plat has been prepared in accordance with the plat
filing regulations.
I would call your attention to the fact that the canals have been
dedicated to the public. It has been my understanding that in the
past the Board of County Commissioners has not accepted such canal
dedications, as the implication is that by doing so the County is
then obligated to maintain the canals.
We have estimated the cost of paving the roads in accordance with
County standards and specifications would be $28,000.
