Resolution 037-1970RESOLUTION NO. 37 -1970
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund
of the State of Florida, in accordance with Section 253. 111, Florida Statutes,
has notified the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida
that certain lands in Monroe County, Florida are available to said County
for public outdoor recreational purposes, under the terms and conditions
provided in said Florida Statutes, and
WHEREAS, said Board of County Commissioners has determined
that it does not propose to devote said lands to such public recreational
purposes, and desires to notify said Board of Trustees of its determination,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board has determined that
the following described lands, to -wit:
Lots 1, 23 6, 7 and 8, lying southeasterly of Florida East
Coast Railway right of way, containing 29. 3 acres, all in
Section 12, Township 61 South, Range 39 East, recorded
in Plat Book 1, page 68, Public Records of. Monroe County,
Florida,
owned by the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the
State of Florida, and offered to said Board of County Commissioners in
accordance with the provisions of Section 253. 111, Florida Statutes, for
public outdoor recreational purposes, will not be devoted to such public
recreational purposes, and that said Board of County Commissioners has
no objection to the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of
the State of Florida conveying said lands to the Board of Public Instruction
of Monroe County, Florida, for use as a school site.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby authorized to forward a certified copy of this

State of Florida, by registered mail, return receipt requested.
