RESOLUTION NO. 44 -1970
WHEREAS, J. R. Matthews and Grace E. Matthews, his wife, desire
to convey certain lands to the County of Monroe, State of Florida, for road
purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida desires to accept such conveyance, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA., that the following described lands in
Monroe County, Florida, to -wit:
A. fifty foot strip of land in a part of Government Lot 1,
Section 14, T. 66 S. , R. 29 E., on Big Pine Key, Monroe
County, Florida and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the intersec-
tion of the east right-of-way line of Matthews Road and the
north right-of-way line of Minorca Drive of "DOCTOR'S
ARM SUBDIVISION", First Addition, as recorded in Plat
Book 4, Page 149 of the Public Records of Monroe County,
Florida, bear North, 230 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING
of the fifty foot strip of land hereinafter described; from
said Point of Beginning, bear East, 650 feet, more or less,
to a canal; thence bear northerly along said canal, 50 feet,
more or less, to a point which is 50 feet, measured at right
angles, from the preceding course; thence bear West, 650
feet, more or less, to a point which is bearing north from
the Point of Beginning; thence bear .South, 50 feet, back to
the Point of Beginning;
being deeded by J. R. Matthews and Grace E. Matthews, his wife, to Mon-
roe County, State of Florida, for road purposes, be, and the said convey-
ance is hereby accepted and approved, and the Chairman and the Clerk of
said Board be, and they are hereby authorized to execute the necessary ac-
ceptance on said deed of conveyance, and cause same to be recorded in the
Public Records of Monroe County, Florida.
