RESOLUTION NO. 61 -1970
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida desires to indicate approval of filling in of a certain parcel of
submerged land owned by Florida Keys Aqueduct Commission, and
WHEREAS, said parcel of submerged land was conveyed to Florida
Keys Aqueduct Commission according to Trustees of the Internal Improve-
ment Fund Deed No. 24409, and
WHEREAS, a navigation channel must be constructed into and along
this parcel of submerged land, and
WHEREAS, the Board recognizes that the Department of Natural
Resoureesl biological report was adverse, however, the enlargment of
the de-salting plant facilities on this parcel of submerged land will be
of great public benefit and will more than offset the damage to the marine
life, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Florida Keys Aqueduct Commission
be authorized to fill in the parcel of submerged land conveyed according to
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund Deed No. 24409 and to excavate
neces sary navigation channels into and along this parcel of submerged land.
