Resolution 021-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 21 -1973 WHEREAS, the 1972 session of the Florida Legislature failed to a ppropriate sufficient monies to adequately fund the operation of the circuit courts, county courts, state attorneys, public defenders and court reporters in the various judicial circuits and counties in Florida, and WHEREAS, in view of this shortage of state funds, the counties are being required to supplement the operation of such offices notwithstanding the fact that when the Revised Article V of the Florida Constitution was pre- sented to the electors of the State for adoption, it was represented to the Counties and the residents thereof that these offices would be entirely funded by the State. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, in meeting assembled this 27th day of February, 1973, as follows: 1. That the Legislature of the State of Florida is hereby urged and requested at the upcoming session to appropriate sufficient monies to fully fund the operation of said offices so that the counties will not be required to supplement their operation. 2. That copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Legislative Delegation of Monroe County, to the State Budget Director and to the State Association of County Commissioners. DATED February 27, 1973.
