Resolution 026-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 26 -1973 WHEREAS it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County~ Florida, that the proposed changes to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare regulations (Social and, Rehabilitation Service (45 CFR Parts 220, 221, 222, 226)) will eliminate private funds as a source of monies for Federal matching funds, and will change the definitions of "former!! and ffpotentialfl welfare recipients to a much narrower and restrictive time period, and WHEREAS~ these changes will drastically reduce or eliminate Wesley House Child Care Center in Key West, Florida, which uses the United Fund as a source of monies for Federal matching funds, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that this Board goes on record as being opposed to the proposed changes to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare regulations (Social and Rehabilitation Service (45 CFR Parts 220, 221, 222, 226)). BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, Social and Rehabilitation Service, 330 Independence Avenue., S. W. ~ Washington, D. C. and to the President of the United States, White House, Washington~ D. C. DATED March 13, 1973.
